During the conference on the topic of world music and MPEG-7 meta data services Artspages and the 4FO AG announced at the WOMEX 2006 in Sevilla their partnership.
Artspages already started a partnership with the Ghana Association of Phonographic Industry (GAPI) under the umbrella of the African music development project Afrofile. One key element of this project is to provide a whitelabel superdistribution solution based on the PotatoSystem for individual African artists enabling them to reach the diaspora market abroad. A first shop with music from Ghana is already online. Artspages believe in this concept which will be very attractive for other developing countries leap-froging into the digital online industries.
