About Papier LIEBL
Papier LIEBL GmbH is a traditional family business specializing in office supplies, packaging, office technology, IT products, and services, and has a history spanning over 80 years. Quality, service, and personal commitment are the core competencies of this Regensburg-based specialist.
Since 2008, the logistics and administration divisions of Papier LIEBL have been located at a facility in Regensburg, covering approximately 14,000 square meters. Utilizing state-of-the-art inventory control—from goods receipt to shipping—Papier LIEBL delivers several thousand order positions daily, on time and professionally.
Papier LIEBL combines the flexibility of a mid-sized family business with the performance capabilities of a modern logistics provider.
Private customers can explore a wide variety of products across categories such as office and school supplies, stationery including high-quality writing instruments, books, leather goods, travel luggage, as well as gift and trendy items in a approximately 2,000 square meter specialty store located at Hermann-Geib-Straße 16 in Regensburg. In the integrated print center, customers receive expert advice and excellent quality printing services.
Objective
For the implementation of this project, several objectives were defined. One of the objectives focused on responsive design, ensuring the online shop functions equally well on various devices. The user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) for Papier LIEBL were independently developed and implemented in collaboration with 4FO.
Des Weiteren sollten Maßnahmen zur Suchmaschinenoptimierung umgesetzt werden sowie die Anzeige von Brutto- und Nettopreisen und die Implementierung von Payone.
Implementation
Die 4FO AG hat für Papier LIEBL den Online-Shop basierend auf Intershop 7.9 und Solr6 völlig neu umgesetzt. Viele individuelle Features wurden speziell für Papier LIEBL neu realisiert. Der neue Online-Shop wird bei Amazon Web Services (AWS) im Rechenzentrum in Frankfurt von der 4FO AG gehostet.
Result
Since May 2, 2018, the new online shop of Papier LIEBL GmbH has been accessible to all customers. The responsive design and search engine optimization have been implemented.
The variant view of the online shop has been expanded so that selection of variants directly on the product tiles is possible on the product pages, search results pages, and category pages through the SHC. Additionally, large amounts of category-specific descriptive texts were migrated to the new shop, allowing existing content to continue to be utilized.
Through the special integration of the SHCware inventory management system, product groups can now be assigned to each customer. This means that Papier LIEBL can now define products for each customer that are displayed to them individually, enhancing personalized service and customer experience.
A new feature now available for B2B customers is the ability to switch the display between net and gross prices. This function is also accessible to users who are not logged in.
The discount calculation of the SHC has been adjusted to meet the requirements of Papier LIEBEL, enabling prices and product-specific data to be retrieved and displayed in real time from the SHC for each customer individually. If desired by the customer, shopping carts with large quantities can now be transmitted directly to the ERP, processed, and sent back to the shop. The customer then receives information via email that the price inquiry is now available as an offer in the "My Account" area and can convert this offer into an order.
Außerdem wurde Payone (Payment Connector von Intershop aktiviert). Dadurch unterstützt Paper LIEBL nicht nur die üblichen Bezahlmethoden, beispielsweise das Zahlen per Kreditkarte, PayPal und Sofortüberweisung, sondern bietet auch diverse Bezahlmöglichkeiten bei der Selbstabholung an.
