The Papier LIEBL GmbH is a traditional family-owned company in the fields of office supplies, packaging, office technology, IT products and services, and looks back on a history of more than 80 years. Quality, service and personal commitment are their core competencies.
Since 2008, the logistics and administration divisions have been located at the Regensburg site on approximately 14,000 m2. By means of modern flow of goods control – from goods receipt to dispatch – Papier LIEBL delivers several thousand delivery items on time every day.
Papier LIEBL has the flexibility of a medium-sized family business combined with the efficiency of a modern logistics provider.
Private customers can find a wide variety of products in the categories office and school supplies, stationery including high-quality writing instruments, bookshops, leather and luggage as well as gift and trend articles in a specialty store of about 2,000 m2 in the Hermann-Geib-Strasse 16 in Regensburg. In the integrated print center, customers receive expert advice and outstanding quality printing.
Various objectives were defined for the implementation of this project. One goal dealt with the Responsive Design, i.e. the equivalent condition of the online store on different devices. Thereby the UI as well as the UX of Papier LIEBL was developed independently and implemented accordingly by the 4FO AG.
Furthermore, measures for search engine optimization should be implemented as well as the display of gross and net prices and the implementation of Payone.
The 4FO AG has completely new implemented the online store for Papier LIEBL based on Intershop 7.9 and Solr6. Many individual features were newly realized especially for Papier LIEBL. The new online store is hosted at Amazon Web Services (AWS) in the data center in Frankfurt by the 4FO AG.
Since May 2nd, 2018, the new online store of the Papier LIEBL GmbH is accessible to all customers. The Responsive Design as well as the search engine optimization were implemented.
The variant view of the online store has been extended accordingly, so that the SHC on the product pages, the search result pages as well as the category pages allows direct selection of the variants in the product tile. In addition, large amounts of category specific descriptive texts were migrated to the new store so that existing content can still be used.
Through the special integration of the merchandise management system SHCware, product groups can now be assigned to each customer. This means that Papier LIEBL can now define products for each customer, which are displayed individually.
As a new function, B2B customers can now swap the display between net and gross prices. This function can also be used by users who are not logged into their accounts.
Also the discount calculation of the SHC was adapted to the requirements of Papier LIEBL, so that now prices and product specific data can be retrieved and displayed in real time from the SHC for each customer individually. If the customer wishes so, shopping carts with large quantities can now be transferred directly to the ERP, processed and returned to the store. The customer then receives an e-mail informing him that the price request is now available as a proposition in the “My Account” area and can convert it into an order.
In addition, Payone (Payment Connector from Intershop) was activated. Thus, Papier LIEBL not only supports the usual payment methods, such as payment by credit card, PayPal and instant bank transfer, but also offers various payment options for self-collection.
